Today is just another run. Some days when runs gets a bit slow and I start to question why I run, then I think about if I don’t run and I quickly dispel the thought from my head ! I have been running since I was 14 and for the past 5-6 years I have been logging in the odd 4km – 6km everyday. Not every one of those runs were special and not everyone of them were good even, but one things for sure .. my life is definitely better with running !

Listening to some ordinary man / woman who pushed back the odds and became something or someone more than they ever thought they could be is really inspirational and really makes for good running listening. Life is all about stories and people really enjoy a good story be one u share during lunch time, on a podcast or even something you read about on a blog. Real life stories are the best for me.

Clear skies today in KL. Yup ! the first time I actually saw the beautiful sun colors as the sun was risin’ up from her slumber. Felt good today and less of the head spinnin’ stuff. Really need to call my nights earlier I guess.

Jogging at my favourite spot Telok Chempedak. I really like this place. Scenic and you don’t even notice that we are doing a cross country run ! I went longer than usual today though not of my planning. Thanks to the bloody retards that insists on feeding the damn monkeys at my route. I had to take a longer route around my usual route because smack right infront of me was an alpha male monkey putting on a show for a bunch of retards feeding him. RETARDS please read my lips or in this case … read my blog …. DO NOT FEED THE ANIMALS ! When you guys feed the monkeys, these wild animals will assume that everyone walking by with a can, a plastic bag or anything resembling something carried is their next buffet meal. These critters get mighty aggresive sometimes when they feel that these “feeders” are ignoring them and take things into own hands or paws in this case … some people have actually gotten bitten and things will continue to get even more uglier if these trends continue. DUDES !! STOP FEEDING THE DAMN ANIMALS

Yeah … back in Kuantan again and found this nice little jogging track in Atabara called Taman Bandar. When it comes to jogging places, this is not too shabby of a place with a nice little track which runs 1.5 km per round ( i think … cause it feels that way ) and with a nice sceanic lake with hilly paths strewn here and there for those athletic few. The nice thing though about parks in Kuantan is that the fact that you can actually get an ammenity called a “parking spot” over here easily. I guess that is one of the upsides of living in a small town with a low density of people. Anywhere you go ( if there aren’t any events in town for that day of course ) you can normally get parking easily. These last few years though with the ever increasing amount of cars, Kuantanites have been introduced rather rudely to a sad reality which their Kuala Lumpur siblings had to tangle with everydays of their lives called traffic jams. Now let me tell you the jams over in Kuantan can get unbelievably bad because of two things :
- The roads aren’t really built for such situations and
- The drivers aren’t really built for such situations
So putting the two together, you end up with a really bad combination of irritable, steering swerve happy drivers on a jam-packed-to-the-sidewalk (literally !) road. Let me tell you, things can really get ugly !
So, anyways :

If you value your sanity don’t ever and I mean ever get on a lrt with decorated with the McDonalds advertising. Your mind will be instantly pushed over the abyss of insanity by the stupid barraging woman’s voice announcing all the stops which mcDonalds chicken folderovers are available. It also tells you how many more stations till the next McDonalds or if you missed any mcDs inbetween !

Update on the haze situation : It’s still the consistency of sperm and quite bad … making matters worse is that fact that it rains every afternoon over here now.

Yeah … just another bad hazy day over here in KL. The haze was so bad I couldn’t even see the sun while I was running. It really leads me to question the health motive that I do my daily morning runs for. I think I would be better off not doing the runs if it continues to worsen. I really don’t know, every year at approximately the same time the sky would turn into the consistency of sperm and we would have to suffer. I really don’t know if the air problem is caused by some outside source or is it local but all I can say is FUCK whoever are the bastards causing us to breathe this foul air !

Found the cause of the heavy head and general dizziness … ( i think ). I stopped taking the medicine last night and noticed that the heavy head did not go away, then this morning the thing came back with a vengence, so i grabbed a bunch of raisins and chuffed it down. Felt better after that … am I not taking enough calories ? This is more like a case of monetary restriction rather than calorie restriction ….
Found some nice looking (looking cause I haven’t had the time to actually listen to them yet) podcast on running at my del.icio.us .. going to try one of them out today .. Just noticed too that wordress has a little icon called “unlink”. Now that deserves kudos as they really pay attention to the usability of their wysiwyg editor ! Those of you who use a wysiwyg editor daily will know the problem of not being able to get out of a link as you type and have to get grease on your elbow by switching over to the code level. Kudos to the wordpress guys and gals ! As I use more and more this perfomancing for firefox, I am beginning to find more and more features that I like .. writing daily running logs now is just a push of a small icon away …
